The HDMI and VGA + Stereo Audio to HDMI HDBaseT over Cat5 Extender Kit is a complete solution for extending audio/video signals from a Blu-ray player and a laptop to the HDMI input of a projector. This kit extends HDMI, VGA and Stereo Audio signals over a single Cat5/Cat5e/Cat6 unshielded twisted pair network patch cable up to 230 feet at a 1080p resolution. The rear cable connections for the Cat5 cable and the optional serial cable are set at 90°, making connections in a wall box easy. The local HDMI output of the front of the wall plate allows an additional HDMI display to be supported via an HDMI cable. Switching between HDMI and VGA inputs is made easy with three options available. Automatic switching displays the last connected device, manual switching via the button on the front of the wall plate, or Serial RS232 switching which accepts serial commands from a control device, like our TruLink A/V Controller This solution is compatible with any operating system and is truly plug and play with no drivers or software required. This solution utilizes TruChoice power, which allows power to be supplied over the Cat5 cable to both the transmitter and receiver from a single power adapter placed at either the transmitter or the receiver end of the solution. HDBaseT technology supports HDCP and allows the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) signals, i.e. communication of the display’s capabilities, to pass through the extension solution ensuring that the content from the source is sent at the optimal resolution for the display. Product DescriptionThe Extender for Logitech video conferencing systems extends the camera or speakerphone and an HDMI AV signal up to 50 feet away from the system hub. This solution requires a RapidRun Optical runner cable (Included) for extension, and installation is made easy through labeling. This extension solution passes the audio and video signals to the Logitech hub, but, when extending the camera, it also passes the control signals. These control signals allow the camera to continue to move as if it were directly connected to the hub with the cable provided by Logitech. This means that full functionality of the GROUP, SmartDock, or CC3000E systems will be retained at full extension distance. The extender also allows for HDMI A/V signal to be extended from the extender transmitter box to the receiver box, allowing a/v signal to be delivered to a remote display. Power can be delivered at both ends via two AC power adapters (Included) or power can be delivered from the transmitter to the receiver over a solid conductor Cat5e/Cat6 cable (Not Included). The capabilities provided by this kit add value and flexibility to the Logitech GROUP, SmartDock, or CC3000E video conferencing systems, making it the perfect fit for almost any application.
